OUR STORY

"Children will not remember you for the material things you provided, but for the experiences with which you nourished them"! We made a new home for ourselves in the Tywi Valley in 2014, seeking to give our children the rural upbringing in which we were raised.

The area is steeped in history, with castles and manor houses scattered all over this breathtakingly beautiful landscape. Just open your front door (or canvas!), and your playground awaits!

Croeso i Gymru! Welcome to Wales!

OUR SMALLHOLDING

Gelli Groes was a sheep and dairy farm, owned for many generations by Herbert and Enid's family. They were once told by a friend that "you may not be millionaires, but you have a millionaire's view!" Set within the Brecon Beacons National Park, the farm has far reaching panoramic views over the Tywi Valley, with the highest peak of the Preselau mountain range set on the western horizon and the wilderness of the Elenydd mountains to the north. Three castles lie within a five mile radius, two of which are within walking distance of your home away from home, connected by the myriad of public footpaths that criss cross what is undoubtedly a truly stunning landscape. All this, and just twenty minutes from the M4 motorway!
